Introducing our exciting new variation of Birria: Lamb Birria!

Lamb Birria, also known as Jalisco-style, hails from the very place where Birria was born.

Crafted from a selection of lamb cuts and bones, our Lamb Birria undergoes a marination process and slow-cooking method infused with authentic Mexican chilies and spices. The result is an exquisite Mexican stew that boasts the perfect blend of succulence and tenderness, delivering delightful notes of sweetness, sourness, and a hint of spice that will tantalize your taste buds.

This product includes both Lamb Birria and Birria Consome, making it perfect for creating mouthwatering Tacos, Burritos, Quesadillas, and Sandwiches.

How to heat:

Birria Consome (Soup Stock):
After defrosting the Birria Consome, place it in a small pot and warm it.

Lamb Birria:
Reheat the packet by poaching the sealed package for 10 minutes in boiling water (do not open the sealed pack).

Serve the Birria Consome in 2 soup plates topped with the Lamb Birria, finely chopped onions, finely chopped cilantro (fresh coriander) and 1/2 lime per plate (freshly squeezed). You can also add for an extra kick any of our Handmade Sauces. We recommend you serve this dish with corn tortillas (white or blue).

How to make Birria Tacos

  1. Thaw inside of the pack the corn tortillas until room temperature. Do not open the pack to defrost.
  2. After defrosting the Birria Consome, place it in a small pot and warm it.
  3. Reheat the Birria packets by poaching the sealed package for 10 minutes in boiling water (do not open the sealed pack).
  4. Once the Birria is ready, use a frying pan to cook the tortillas on both sides until they get softened and a bit crispy outside. We do not recommend microwaving.
  5. Serve corn tortillas topped with the Birria, finely chopped onions, finely chopped cilantro (fresh coriander) and 1/4 lime per taco (freshly squeezed). You can also add any of our Handmade Sauces for an extra kick.

Serving Recommendation:
Serve the Birria Tacos with the Birria Consome, using this as a dipping sauce adding to it as optional (highly recommended): chopped onions, chopped coriander and fresh lime. Add additionally any of our Handmade Sauces. Enjoy the leftovers of the soup, if there are any.

How to make Birria Tacos (crunchy type)

  1. Thaw inside of the pack the corn tortillas (white/blue) until room temperature. Do not open the pack to defrost.
  2. After defrosting the Birria Consome, place it in a small pot and warm it.
  3. Reheat the Birria packet by poaching the sealed package for 10 minutes in boiling water (do not open the sealed pack).
  4. Once the Birria is ready, use a frying pan (medium heat) to warm the tortilla on both sides until they get softened.
  5. Keep the tortilla on the pan and add 30-40g of Birria and 10-20g of cheese (optional) and fold it in half moon shape.
  6. Sear the tacos on both sides pouring Birria Consome to add more flavor until the tortilla is crunchy.

Serving Recommendation:
Serve the Birria Tacos with the Birria Consome, using this as a dipping sauce adding to it as optional (highly recommended): chopped onions, chopped coriander and fresh lime. Add additionally any of our Handmade Sauces. Enjoy the leftovers of the soup, if there are any.
