Our Chicken Carnitas are made out of chicken legs that are marinated and patiently slow cooked for 2 days with citrus juices, onions, garlic, Mexican spices and chilies.
Carnitas are great for making Tacos, Burritos, Pulled Chicken Sandwiches, Quesadillas and Enchiladas. We recommend you use 70-100g per Taco and 100-120g per Sandwich.
How to make Tacos de Carnitas (Pork/Chicken)
- Thaw corn tortillas (White/Blue) until room temperature.
- Reheat the Carnitas packets by poaching the sealed package for 10 minutes in boiling water (do not open the sealed pack).
- Once the Carnitas are ready, use a frying pan to cook the tortillas on both sides until they get softened. We do not recommend microwaving.
- Serve corn tortillas topped with the Carnitas, finely chopped onions, cilantro (fresh coriander) and our Salsa Verde sauce or Chipotle sauce. You can also add Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, Jalapenos or any topping if you like.
