Are you looking to cook yourself? We’ve got raw baby pigs fed exclusively on their mothers milk. Perfect for a very special occasion. Best roasted whole for flaky, succulent tender meat and crispy skin. It falls off the bone tender!
Perfect size of “5 to 6 kg”. These smaller pigs are the most prized, tender and sweetest tasting pigs available. Note this product is dispatched frozen, it has to be defrosted before cooking.
How to Cook
Rub the whole baby pig inside and outside with salt, pepper and your favorite aromatics. Then slow roast (indirect fire) over charcoal for 3-4 hours. Alternatively, roast in the oven at 275F to 300F (135C-150C) until the pig is cooked to at least 160F (72C) in its deepest joint (shoulder joint close to the head), this will take 2-2.5hours. For that extra crispiness, increase the heat at max 500F (260C) and leave it for the last 20 minutes. Finally let it rest tented in foil for at least 30 minutes before serving.
