Our original Chili con Carne, a home-made slow-cooked dish, employs kidney beans, beef, pork, vegetables, Mexican chiles and spices.
This gluten free and halal dish goes well with rice, nachos, bread, or as a topping for tacos and burritos.

It’s not bad, but as an American accustomed to American style chili beans, I must say that the taste is different than that. I like the beans just fine, and it didn’t matter to me they appeared to be kidney rather than pinto. But the taste is just different than your typical American version. (I don’t mean canned chili either — I mean the good homemade American ind.) I guess the Meat Express version has a bit more Mexican flare? All said, try it and make your own judgement.
