Carne Asada means grilled steak in Mexico and this is our own twist using rib fingers.
Our boneless Rib Fingers (Strip cuts from between the back ribs) are marinated for 8 hours with citrus, garlic, cilantro and Mexican spices. This incredibly flavorful cut is very tender when it’s properly marinated and cooked medium rare.
Our Carne Asada is ready to grill, BBQ or pan fry and enjoy with tortillas, rice, bread, potatoes, vegetables or any garnish you like. The juicy Carne Asada is great for making Tacos de Carne Asada and Sandwiches. We recommend you use 70-100g per Taco and 100-120g per Sandwich.
Please note that we marinade the rib fingers differently than our skirt steak, which is another flavor of our Carne Asada. We recommend that you do not mix both when you are cooking.
How to make Tacos de Carne Asada
- Thaw corn tortillas (White/Blue) until room temperature.
- Defrost the marinated carne asada in the fridge for 6+ hours (do not open the pack). Take the meat out of the package and pat dry using a paper towel to remove excess marinade.
- With a frying pan, add a touch of cooking oil at high heat to sear the meat for 4-5 minutes on both sides for the rib fingers.
- Place the beef in aluminum foil and leave to rest for 5 minutes. Cut against the grain in small pieces and season with salt & pepper as desired.
- Once the beef is ready, use a frying pan to cook the tortillas on both sides until they get softened. We do not recommend microwaving.
- Serve corn tortillas topped with the chopped beef (Rib Fingers), finely chopped onions, cilantro (fresh coriander) and our Salsa Verde sauce or Chipotle sauce. You can also add Pico de Gallo, Guacamole, Jalapenos or any topping if you like. We recommend you use 70-100g per Taco.
