Birria is a traditional Mexican dish from Jalisco. This dish consists of a Beef soup stew carefully slow-cooked for hours in the pot and then in the oven. It is made from different cuts of beef (marinated for 1 day), beef bones, and a combination of Mexican chilies and spices. The result is a sweet, sour, slightly spicy and utterly savory Mexican stew that is cooked until the beef is extremely tender and fall-apart juicy and delicious.
This unique Quesadilla is a flour tortilla folded with Birria, Frijoles (beans) and Cheese, then pan-seared for a crispy outside. Finally, dip the QuesaBirria in the soup stock where the Birria was made and enjoy this explosion of flavors.
How to heat:
A. Recommended for best result:
Defrost in the fridge for a minimum of 5 hours (packed as is) and then pan fry at low heat for a total of 6 minutes (3 minutes per side)
B. Using Microwave
Remove from the sealed pack (frozen) and place the burrito on a plate, then heat for 2 minutes in the microwave and finally pan-fry medium heat with no oil for 1 minute total on both sides.
Soup Stock:
After defrosting the Birria soup stock, place it in a small pot and warm it, or place it in a dish and microwave for 1 minute.
Serving Recommendation:
Serve the QuesaBirria with the soup stock, using this as a dipping sauce adding to it as optional (highly recommended): chopped onions, chopped coriander and fresh lime. Serve with any of our handmade salsa sauces. Enjoy the leftovers of the soup, if there are any.

Delicious as always! The soup really enhances the flavor and afterwards you can use the leftover soup like a broth for a homemade soup.
