As requested by so many of you, we are thrilled to announce that we are starting to take orders for our very first Birria products!

Our Birria is made out of different cuts of beef and beef bones marinated and slow-cooked with Mexican chilies and spices. The Mexican stew is perfectly cooked until the beef is extremely juicy and tender and offers sweet, sour, slightly spicy notes that are utterly deliciousness.

We’ve produced three new products featuring this addictive beefy goodness: Birria Taco, QuesaBirria (a.k.a cheese birria) and Birria Burrito.

All you need to do is to reheat the Birria and it’s ready to go! Our Birria products keep in the freezer for up to three months, patiently awaiting the moment hunger strikes!

This unique Taco is a 15 cm white corn tortilla filled and folded with Beef Birria and Cheese, then seared on the fry pan until it is crispy outside. Finally, dip the Tacos in the soup stock where the Birria was made and enjoy this explosion of flavors. 150ml of the Birria soup stock is included.

This is hands down the Best Burrito I’ve had in Japan, and arguable most of America( at least on the NC area) I will treat myself every once in a while, since I love Mexican food. I would recommend getting it for special occasions at the very least. I did use the microwave, since I was at work, and it came out delicious with no issues. I’m still kinda mad I can buy the sauces separately LOL If you buy the burritos individually it doesn’t come with the sauce unfortunately.

I didn’t know what a beef birria burrito would taste like, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The meat tastes fabulous, and the sauce seeping into the burrito perfects the flavor. I’m definitely ordering it again!

Ok I wasn’t expecting anything good but these burritos were on point! For four burritos, yes FOUR very dense burritos, the price is great. I was very skeptical about the claims but no, they can keep making grandiose claims because they aren’t lying!

This food is seriously delicious! My husband and I each had a burrito as soon as the box arrived. Yummy! Of course, I wish it were cheaper, but I will definitely be ordering more of the same for us and for gifts. The meat was especially surprising–excellent quality and flavor. It wasn’t the ground beef I usually use for Mexican food. It was beautiful cuts of meat that had been pulled apart. Burrito delivery in Tokyo… this is a winner!

Great taste and easy to prepare. Just heat it up. Best real Mexican taste I’ve had in a Japan. Don’t know about serving 8 though. Maybe for Japanese light eaters it can serve 8. For my mixed Japanese and American family I’d say more like 6 servings. Great taste and great sauces to go along. Thanks

I must say Beef Birria Burrito tastes somewhat like an American pot roast and is very good. I would say it probably ranks among the best burritos from Meat Express, right along side the Matsusaka A5 Wagyu Burrito. Don’t get me wrong, the other burritos are great too (I’ve tried them all), but there’s something very nice about a meaty burrito! Highly recommended!

Who We Are

We’ve been serving Mexican cuisine in Japan for more than a decade. As a food truck business, we’ve participated in major events like Summer Sonic, Sapporo Snow Festival, Rugby World Cup to name a few and we’ve also opened pop up restaurants across many major cities all over Japan.

During the outbreak of Covid-19 in 2020, we were forced to close our food trucks and restaurants and it left us no choice but to explore new ways to serve our customers: that is how we started Meat Express.

With our extensive knowledge and experience with Mexican cuisine, we strongly believe our Mexican menu is the best — or at least one of the best — available in Japan.
